Lerman to Judge, Cookie May Show

CEN has obtained reports confirming that Don Moses Lerman has been invited to act as head official judge at Friday's Canolli Eating Championship at the Feast of San Genarro in Little Italy.

The judging role is typically held by MLE Commissioner Hungry Charles Hardy, but not this year. Sources say Hardy will likely be in attendance, but Lerman will be acting judge.

Lerman, who retired earlier this year, is perhaps best known as the butter eating champion of the world. He also holds titles in jalapenos, burgers and baked beans. There is buzz in the old neighborhood that Ed Cookie Jarvis may attend the event and that old school eater Badlands Booker may rap for his NYC fans.
